People ask us all the time. What can I do to help? How can I get involved? How can we do more than vote? Here is your answer, and we have made it easy for you. We have built lobby sheets that explain each bill and what it means for you, for your neighbors, and for your legislators. Your job is to deliver them to legislative offices, either at the Capitol in Sacramento or right in your home district. Just look over the list of bills below regarding parental rights, abortion, online safety, forced indoctrination, freedom of speech, and sex-rejecting procedures on minors. Pray and ask God which bill or bills you should talk to your legislator about. Think of the one that speaks to your heart, the issue you carry a story about, the cause you feel most passionate about defending. Your legislator needs to hear from you.
This is about being salt and light. God did not give you a light to hide under a bushel. When you speak up, you do it out of love for your neighbor, because these bills will shape your neighbors’ lives for good or for ill. We cannot close our eyes and simply wait for heaven. That is not what God put us here to do. If you come to the Capitol, we will go with you and give you instructions every step of the way. Bring like-minded friends who care about the same things you do. Plan to spend an hour, or up to three. If you come to the Capitol, it should all be over by noon. If you visit your local representative’s office instead, it will take thirty minutes at most.
Pick your bill, grab the lobby sheet, and let your voice be heard.
