2026 National Day of Prayer
Join Us at the Heart of California for the National Day of Prayer
We’re on the brink of something extraordinary, and you’re invited to be at the center of it!
California Family Council is honored to host a powerful gathering for the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the California State Capitol in Sacramento. This sacred day is a vital opportunity to come together in humble and unified prayer for our state and our nation.
Why You Should Attend
This is not just another event—it’s a moment to lift our voices in prayer for our leaders, our communities, and our country. As believers, we are called to intercede, to seek God’s guidance, and to stand in the gap for our nation.
Praying together at the Capitol is more than symbolic—it’s a bold declaration that faith has a place in the public square, and that prayer has the power to change hearts, shape policy, and bring renewal. With an uplifting schedule of Scripture, worship, and intercession, every moment of this gathering will be an opportunity to unite in purpose and call upon the Lord with one voice.
Our presence matters. Our prayers matter. Our worship matters.

FAQ
Where is the best parking?
- The Capitol is located in downtown Sacramento, we recommend parking in the “Capitol Garage” Parking. This is located on 10th & L St. There will also be street parking located around the Capitol which charges by the hour.
- The next best spot is in the “SP+ Parking” Garage located at 1209 L St, Sacramento – directly behind the Hyatt Regency
Will there be worship?
- Yes. There will be live worship music, Scripture readings, and guided prayer segments throughout the day. Various pastors, leaders, and prayer warriors will share and lead us.
Can I bring my children?
- Absolutely. This is a family-friendly event. We encourage children and youth to experience the power of corporate prayer and bold faith in action. We just ask parents to supervise children at all times.
