Cecile Richards Officially Steps Down as Planned Parenthood CEO

On Monday, April 30th, after twelve years and 3,500,000 abortions, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards has stepped down from leading the abortion giant responsible for the killing of 320,000 babies every year. Planned Parenthood is an organization that promotes itself as a women’s health organization, but ironically does not provide adoption referrals or prenatal health care for women. During Richards twelve years with Planned Parenthood, the organization became the nation’s largest abortion provider with record income and profit levels derived from abortions.

During her tenure, Richards transformed Planned Parenthood into a wealthy abortion corporation with a 2016-2017 budget in excess of $1.46 billion. That’s an increase of more than $100 million from 2015-2016, half a billion of which are taxpayer funded federal dollars. She also was instrumental in shaping Planned Parenthood into a huge PR organization to promote abortion on demand.

Cecile Richards announced her intention to resign in January, shortly after the United States Department of Justice opened a federal investigation into Planned Parenthood over its illegal sale of aborted baby parts.

Richards has presided over the organization through multiple major scandals, including the revelations by the Center for Medical Progress that Planned Parenthood was illegally selling aborted baby parts for profit.

Simultaneously with the increase in revenue from abortion, Richards oversaw the decline in prenatal services offered to women. In 2016-2017, Planned Parenthood provided 7,762 prenatal services. That number is almost 2,000 lower than 2015-2016, and nearly a 10,000 decrease in services offered during 2014-2015.

Since its founding, over 100 years ago, Planned Parenthood has killed over 7,000,000 babies. That number is greater than the 6 million people murdered during the Holocaust, and surpasses the fatalities incurred during the Vietnam War, the American Civil War, the Korean War, and the Iraq war combined. Richards was paid nearly half a million dollars every year to preside over this organization.

Richards has created quite a legacy for herself built literally on death and destruction. It is unclear yet what her plans are for the future, but some have speculated that Richards will run for office. Richards has said that she plans on being involved in the 2018 midterm elections.

  1. Not sure where you are getting your abortion statics, but I was very grateful throughout college to receive low to no cost paps & breast exams and my birth control pills. They helped me receive medical services I otherwise would not have been able to afford. I support Plan Parenthood. Also, they operate under the same federal guidelines for medical reimburse as any other hospital or clinic would. So- not sure why you believe that’s a problem. Lastly, the last time I check it was still a women’s right to control her body and reproductive decisions.

  2. Yes, they do. In it’s against God’s laws that we deny them that right for our own selfish comforts and in many cases fears, which planned Parenthood should be advocating for mothers to keep there precious ones, in helping with resources, and counseling. I’ve always regretted my abortions as a teenager in wish I knew what I know today.
