CFC Lobby Day – June 24th

Join Us as We Make Our Values Known to California Legislators!

California Family Council is calling Christians across the state to stand for life, family, and liberty at our first Lobby Day of the year. Whether you can travel to Sacramento or not, there is a place for you in this effort.

Why You Should Attend

  • Make your voice heard on important legislation affecting California families.
  • Learn how the legislative process works and how citizens can influence public policy.
  • Meet like-minded Californians who share your values.
  • Gain hands-on experience advocating directly with lawmakers and their staff.

Stand alongside the California Family Council as we work to protect faith, family, and freedom.

Three Ways to Participate:

1) In Person at the Capitol (Register here)

Join us in Sacramento as we meet directly with legislators and their staff to discuss critical legislation impacting California families. We’ll provide training, materials, and support so you can confidently advocate for your values. No previous lobbying experience is required. (See FAQ below for more info)

Schedule

  • 9:00 AM – Orientation Meeting (register below to receive location)
  • 10:00 AM – Lobbying begins at Swing Space 1021 O Street. Register Below!

2) In Person in the District

Can’t make it to Sacramento? You can still participate by scheduling a meeting with your state senator or assembly member at their local district office. (Find your member here.) District meetings are a powerful way to build relationships with lawmakers and ensure they hear directly from constituents in their communities.

3) Contact Campaigns

If you are unable to attend in person, you can still make a difference by participating in our contact campaigns. We will send you to our CFC Action Center, where you will be guided step by step on how to contact your legislators by phone, email, or social media. We provide bill information, simple talking points, as well as pre-written letters you can use to effectively explain your support or opposition on a variety of bills. We are here to amplify your voice.

FAQ

Where is the best parking?

The Capitol is located in downtown Sacramento. We recommend parking in the Capitol Garage, located at 10th & L Street. Street parking is also available around the Capitol and is generally metered by the hour.

Another convenient option is the SP+ Parking Garage located at 1209 L Street, Sacramento, directly behind the Hyatt Regency.

Do I need lobbying experience?

No experience is necessary. We will provide training, talking points, and materials before you begin. Whether this is your first visit to the Capitol or your fiftieth, you are welcome to join us.

What should I wear?

Business casual attire is recommended. Comfortable walking shoes are also encouraged, as we will be moving throughout the Capitol building.

Can I bring my children?

Absolutely. This is a family-friendly event. We encourage children and youth to experience the power of civic engagement and faith in action. We simply ask that parents supervise children at all times.
