Fake Stimulus Advances, Planned Parenthood Benefits

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Over the weekend, the U.S. Senate debated and passed a new, so-called “COVID relief package” to stimulate the economy and get America back to work. The final vote was 50-49, along party lines. Congress is expected to approve the U.S. Senate’s changes on Tuesday, then sending it to President Biden’s desk.

Of course, such a strict party-line vote isn’t an indicator of a popular piece of legislation, but perhaps there’s good reason Republicans in the body didn’t support the bill: as one senator pointed out, less than 10% of the $1.9 trillion relief package actually will go towards economic COVID relief. The rest of that funding will go to boost state and municipal governments, pad the pockets of public schools, create a “slush fund” for Planned Parenthood (more on that in a moment), and allocate money to other causes championed by the radical left.

While many Americans across the political spectrum are thrilled to be getting one-time, $1,400 stimulus check, the math is very concerning. Essentially, with passage of this bill, the government will agree to add more than $5,750 to the national debt for every man, woman, and child in the country. A $1,400 kickback is all you get; meanwhile, the Hyde Amendment that prohibits direct funding for abortion is gone, Planned Parenthood is set to be given $50 million in cold hard cash, and will now be authorized to apply for small business relief grants as well.

As if the world’s leading provider of abortions needed any more money.

This bill is so radical the even the organization, Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden wrote that they felt “used and betrayed” by the bill

Here’s the issue: this COVID-19 relief package has almost nothing to do with actual COVID relief and everything to do with forcing Americans to pay for things they don’t believe in with money they don’t have – under the premise of pushing back on a pandemic.

Congress will be considering this bill tomorrow. Please find and contact your U.S. Representative and let them know how you feel about the COVID relief bill.

Please connect with your congress member, let them know how you want them to vote Tuesday, and encourage them to push back on these tragic developments.
