California’s Far-Left Moral Activism Divides America

The new Texas Heartbeat Law went into effect on September 1, 2021, creating reinvigorated enthusiasm from the pro-life movement but sheer disgust from the radical, pro-abortion left.

Salesforce, a California-based company, unfortunately, falls into the latter category.

After the law went into effect and the United States Supreme Court declined early attempts to block it, Salesforce sent a message to its employees offering to help them relocate out of Texas out of need for “access to reproductive healthcare.”

“These are incredibly personal issues that directly impact many of us — especially women. We recognize and respect that we all have deeply held and different perspectives. As a company, we stand with all of our women at Salesforce and everywhere.

With that being said, if you have concerns about access to reproductive healthcare in your state, Salesforce will help relocate you and members of your immediate family.”

The CEO of Salesforce, Marc Benioff, tweeted in support of the message, saying, “if you want to move we’ll help you exit TX,” to which Governor Gavin Newsom responded, “Welcome to California.”

Previously, Benioff had announced a boycott of the state of Indiana when Governor Mike Pence signed that state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law.

Of course, this past summer, California Attorney General Rob Bonta declared a travel ban to a growing list of states that passed laws which ultimately protect children and religious liberty in completely rational ways. Radical California leftists like Bonta view those laws as egregious, hateful, and discriminatory, though female children who don’t have to deal with men in the women’s restroom probably feel otherwise.

California and many of its major businesses, unfortunately, have gained notoriety for engaging in this far-left virtue-signaling and moral activism which only further divides America.

California businesses like Salesforce and politicians like Newsom and Bonta seem to have a particular message for people with Biblically-based values: your points of view are not only unappreciated – they are unwelcome and deserving of scorn. This true intolerance pits neighbor against neighbor, discourages political discourse, and declares entire states (and the constituents in them) as deplorable.

Despite the message’s one-liner about “deeply held and different perspectives,” Salesforce’s relocation offer is narrow-minded and exclusive. Can they not fathom that any of its employees in Texas are perhaps pro-life and support the Texas Heartbeat Law? Can’t this employer see that this message makes pro-life employees no longer feel welcome at Salesforce, and sends the message that they need to keep their pro-life opinions to themselves in order to keep their job? Or, do they not fathom that perhaps some of the company’s employees stuck in other blue states would actually jump at the chance to move to Texas to live in a more pro-family environment?

The kind of atmosphere that Salesforce and other far-left moral activists are fostering is stifling and divisive, and it is extremely regrettable that the radicalized major cities of California are giving this state such an inhospitable reputation.

America needs conversation, understanding, and empathy. Salesforce, unfortunately, has shut the door to each of those things.
