Thousands of People Attend Live 4D Ultrasound in Times Square

This past weekend thousands upon thousands of people attended an event in New York City’s Times Square to celebrate life. The event was organized by Focus on the Family and was headlined by pro life leader Abby Johnson and her preborn baby.

The event showcased a live, 4D ultrasound of Johnson’s baby projected onto a big screen. The crowd was able to view Johnson’s baby yawn and watch the tiny human’s heartbeat.

“This is a baby. This right here is a baby,” Johnson told the crowd. “We will see a day when abortion in this country is unthinkable.”

Focus on the Family President Jim Daly said that the idea behind the event is to showcase life during pregnancy and illustrate to people in a very tangible way that life in the womb is valuable.

“Our hope is that people walking into Times Square on Saturday will look up to the screens and lift-up in prayer every abortion-minded woman,” Daly told Fox News prior to the event.

Former NFL player Ben Watson also spoke at the event, encouraging men to speak up and protect mothers and their preborn babies from abortion. According to Christianity Today:

“As families across our country are being destroyed and as lives are being extinguished, we must expose the lies that are being told. We must peel back those layers of deceit,” Watson said.

“The relationship you have with the mother, the relationship you have talking to that child en utero. Fatherhood begins in the womb,” he continued.

New York recently became the 8th state to legalize late term abortions, and the organizers behind this rally hope that the event will raise awareness to the cruelty of the new law legalizing late term abortions that Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law this past January.
